Utilizing a variety of mediums and practices, “Fashioning the Black Body” is a result of my own curatorial research of Black ontologies in relation to the gaze. Commissioned by Projects + Gallery, the exhibition was a dialectic between the public and the artists, expounding upon the ways artists of color engage the fashion object as a storytelling device.
